Spring Airlines temporarily strengthens Shanghai – Tokyo and Fukuoka Service

Spring Airlines serves Fukuoka out of Shanghai and Dalian.

Since July 1, 2024, the Chinese low-cost Spring Airlines has been operating an extra daily frequency on its flights from Shanghai Pudong to Tokyo Narita and Fukuoka. Both of the routes currently operate twice a day.

Until October 8, 2024, the airline offers an extra morning rotation between Shanghai to Tokyo and connects the two cities as follows:

  • 9C6131* / Shanghai Pudong – Tokyo Narita / 6:15AM – 10:05AM
  • 9C6217 / Shanghai Pudong – Tokyo Narita / 2:55PM – 7:00PM
  • 9C6132* / Tokyo Narita – Shanghai Pudong / 11:05AM – 1:25PM
  • 9C6218 / Tokyo Narita – Shanghai Pudong / 8:00PM – 10:15PM

* Frequency operating between July 1 and October 8, 2024.

In addition to Spring Airlines, Spring Japan also offers a daily roundtrip on the route alongside half a dozen other airlines including ANA, Air China, China Eastern, China Southern, Juneyao Air, and Jetstar Japan. There are more than a dozen daily flights between Tokyo Haneda and both Shanghai Pudong and Hongqiao.

Shanghai Pudong is one of the two cities from which Spring Airlines serves Tokyo Narita. Since April 2024, the airline has also been flying to the airport from Shijiazhuang.

The Fukuoka service is expanded as follows until September 12, 2024:

  • 9C6609* / Shanghai Pudong – Fukuoka / 7:40AM – 10:55AM
  • 9C6537 / Shanghai Pudong – Fukuoka / 1:55PM – 5:00PM
  • 9C6610 / Fukuoka – Shanghai Pudong / 11:55AM – 1:05PM
  • 9C6538* / Fukuoka – Shanghai Pudong / 6:00PM – 7:10PM

Air China and China Eastern Airlines connect Shanghai and Fukuoka too.

In addition to serving Fukuoka out of Shanghai, Spring Airlines also offers three weekly Dalian – Fukuoka roundtrips.

Both the Shanghai – Tokyo and the Shanghai – Fukuoka routes are operated using Spring Airlines’ Airbus A320-200s with 180 economy class seats.
