Spring Airlines to resume Shanghai Pudong – Ibaraki in late December 2024

On December 24, 2024, the Chinese low-cost Spring Airlines will resume flights between Shanghai Pudong and Ibaraki. The route will operate three times a week as follows:

  • 9C8987 / Shanghai Pudong – Ibaraki / 8:15AM – 12:00PM / Tue, Thu, Sat
  • 9C8988 / Ibaraki – Shanghai Pudong / 1:00PM – 3:35PM1 / Tue, Thu, Sat

1 Scheduled to depart at 5:00PM and arrive at 7:35PM on December 24, 26, and 28, 2024.

Spring Airlines first resumed the route in August 2023 following COVID-19-related suspension. However, it suspended the route again soon after that. Like before, Spring will operate the route using Airbus A320 aircraft, which are equipped with 174 to 186 economy class seats depending on the configuration.

No other airline currently offers flights between the two cities.

In addition to Shanghai, Spring Airlines will also operate three Xi’an – Ibaraki roundtrips in December 2024.
