Since July 4, 2024, Sichuan Airlines has been operating its Chengdu – Tokyo Narita flights daily. Prior to that, the flights operated three times a week, every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday.

With the frequency increased, the flights will continue to operate daily as follows:

  • 3U3961 / Chengdu – Tokyo Narita / 9:15AM – 3:10PM
  • 3U3962 / Tokyo Narita – Chengdu / 4:40PM – 9:00PM

Sichuan Airlines uses a mix of A320 Series (under 200 seats) and A330 aircraft (over 300 seats) on the route.

It restarted the route in August 2022 after suspending it due to the pandemic in March 2020. No other airline offers non-stop flights between Chengdu.

In addition to Tokyo Narita, Sichuan Airlines also connects Chengdu with Osaka Kansai.
