Shanghai Airlines to increase Shanghai – Osaka Kansai to double daily from early Nov. 2024

Shanghai Airlines will use the 737-800 on both rotations.

From November 10, 2024, Shanghai Airlines will increase the frequency of its flights between Shanghai Pudong and Osaka Kansai from the current one to two daily flights. The airline will add an early morning flight out of Shanghai and operate the route as follows:

  • FM873 / Shanghai Pudong – Osaka Kansai / 7:40AM – 11:00AM
  • FM821 / Shanghai Pudong – Osaka Kansai / 2:55PM – 6:00PM
  • FM874 / Osaka Kansai – Shanghai Pudong / 12:00PM – 2:00PM
  • FM822 / Osaka Kansai – Shanghai Pudong / 7:00PM – 8:50PM

The new rotation, like the existing one, will be operated using Boeing 737-800 aircraft with 164 seats including eight in business and 164 in economy class.

Combined, Shanghai Airlines and its parent company China Eastern Airlines will offer seven daily flights between Shanghai and Osaka.

The route is also served by ANA, JAL, Peach, Air China, Juneyao Air, China Southern, and Spring Airlines.
