Shandong Airlines to turn Qingdao – Osaka triple daily from August 2024

Shandong Airlines Boeing 737-800
The vast majority of Shandong Airlines’ fleet consists of Boeing 737-800s.

Starting from August 1, 2024, Shandong Airlines will add an extra daily roundtrip between Qingdao and Osaka Kansai. With that, the airline will serve the route three times a day as follows:

  • SC4091 / Qingdao – Osaka Kansai / 8:20AM – 11:25AM
  • SC4093 / Qingdao – Osaka Kansai / 1:00PM – 4:20PM
  • SC4095* / Qingdao – Osaka Kansai / 5:35PM – 9:00PM
  • SC4092 / Osaka Kansai – Qingdao / 12:30PM – 2:00PM
  • SC4094 / Osaka Kansai – Qingdao / 5:20PM – 7:00PM
  • SC4096* / Osaka Kansai – Qingdao / 10:00PM – 11:25PM

* New frequency starting on August 1, 2024.

At the time being, the flights (including the existing rotations) are for sale up to the end of the 2024 summer schedule (October 26, 2024). As such, it is unclear whether the triple daily operation will be sustained into the 2024 winter schedule or not.

On all three rotations, Shandong Airlines will use Boeing 737-800 aircraft of which the airline operates over 120 airframes. The aircraft are equipped with a total of 167 seats including eight in business and 159 in economy class.

Shandong Airlines is the only airline offering non-stop flights between Osaka and Qingdao.
