Scoot to increase Singapore – Taipei – Tokyo service from March 2024 end

From March 31, 2024, the Singaporean low-cost airline Scoot will increase the number of weekly flights on its one-stop Singapore – Tokyo Narita via Taipei Taoyuan route from the current one daily to 12 weekly rotations.

In addition to the existing daily roundtrip, Scoot will add new five weekly flights as follows:

  • TR874 / Singapore – Taipei Taoyuan / 8:45AM – 1:40PM / Mon, Tue, Thu, Fri, Sat
  • TR874 / Taipei Taoyuan – Tokyo Narita / 3:00PM – 7:05PM / Mon, Tue, Thu, Fri, Sat
  • TR875 / Tokyo Narita – Taipei Taoyuan / 8:10PM – 11:00PM* / Mon, Tue, Thu, Fri, Sat
  • TR875 / Taipei Taoyuan – Singapore / 12:05AM – 4:45AM* / Tue, Wed, Fri, Sat, Sun

The five weekly flights will be operated using Airbus A321neo aircraft equipped with 236 seats, all in economy class. It will be Scoot’s first A321neo route to Japan.

The daily rotation will continue to operate using larger Boeing 787-9 aircraft with 375 seats including 35 ScootPlus premium economy seats as follows:

  • TR898 / Singapore – Taipei Taoyuan / 1:05AM – 5:45AM*
  • TR898 / Taipei Taoyuan – Tokyo Narita / 6:45AM – 11:10AM*
  • TR899 / Tokyo Narita – Taipei Taoyuan / 12:20PM – 2:55PM*
  • TR899 / Taipei Taoyuan – Singapore / 3:55PM – 8:30PM*

In addition to that, Scoot will also continue to operate non-stop 787-9 flights between Singapore and Tokyo Narita daily.

Currently, the airline operates two other routes to Japan including Singapore to Sapporo New Chitose via Taipei Taoyuan (four times a week) and Singapore to Osaka Kansai (daily). In the past, the airline also flew from Singapore to Osaka Kansai via Kaohsiung. That route is expected to resume in 2025.
