Just two hours after a HondaJet skidded off Oita Airport’s runway around 2:10PM on January 28, 2024, the runway was reopened. JAL flight 670 to Tokyo Haneda was the first flight to depart and Peach flight 363 from Osaka Kansai was the first to land at the airport after the accident, both with a delay of about an hour and a half. Multiple other flights were delayed or canceled. Today, January 29, 2024, the operations at Oita Airport are back to normal.
