MLIT working group about securing enough mechanics and pilots holds first meeting

Japan’s transport ministry’s working group on “securing and utilizing aviation mechanics and pilots” held its first meeting today. The group was launched to discuss the best ways of ensuring a sufficient supply of talent in the industry and is chaired by University of Tokyo Graduate School of Engineering’s Professor Kenichi Rinoie. Participants include a professor from Keio University Faculty of Science and Technology, and representatives of Japan Aeronautical Engineers’ Association, Japan Aircraft Pilot Association, All Japan Air Transport and Service Association, Scheduled Airlines Association of Japan, and College of Naka-Nippon Aviation.
