From December 5 to 30, 2024, Malaysia Airlines will operate charter flights between Kuala Lumpur and Sapporo New Chitose.
The flights will operate once every five days and are being sold as part of package tours offered by Malaysia’s tour operator Apple Vacations. The five-night tours depart on December 5, 10, 15, 20, and 25, 2024.
According to AeroRoutes, the flights will operate with the following schedule:
- MH8538 / Kuala Lumpur – Sapporo New Chitose / 10:55PM – 7:40AM+1
- MH8539 / Sapporo New Chitose – Kuala Lumpur / 10:30AM – 5:25PM
Malaysia Airlines will operate the flights using Airbus A330-300 aircraft with 290 seats including 27 in business and 263 in economy class.
While the December 2024 charters will mark Malaysia Airlines’ return to Sapporo New Chitose for the first time since it last operated charters to the airport in 2019, they will not put a new destination on Sapporo New Chitose Airport’s destination map. AirAsia X already offers seasonal flights between Kuala Lumpur and Sapporo, which will start on October 1 this year.
