Korean Air plans mid-July 2024 resumption of Jeju – Tokyo Narita route

Korean Air will deploy its 737-900ERs on the Jeju – Tokyo Narita route.

From July 19, 2024, Korean Air will operate three weekly roundtrips between Jeju and Tokyo Narita. The resumption comes over four and a half years after the route was terminated in late 2019 due to worsening relations between South Korea and Japan and the related drop in demand.

The route will operate as follows:

  • KE2125 / Jeju – Tokyo Narita / 1:05PM – 3:35PM / Wed, Fri, Sun
  • KE2126 / Tokyo Narita – Jeju / 4:35PM – 7:25PM / Wed, Fri, Sun

Korean Air will use Boeing 737-900ER aircraft on the route, offering 173 seats on each flight including 8 in business and 165 in economy class.

Currently, Korean Air connects Seoul Incheon with Tokyo Narita (4x day) and Tokyo Haneda (1x day), Seoul Gimpo with Tokyo Haneda (3x day), and Busan with Tokyo Narita (2x day). No other airline operates non-stop flights between Tokyo and Jeju; T’Way’s flights to Osaka Kansai are currently the only non-stop flights between Japan and Jeju.
