Korean Air will soon take delivery of its first Boeing 787-10, which will be equipped with the airline’s new ‘Prestige Suite 2.0’ business class seats. The aircraft is scheduled to make its first revenue flight on July 23, 2024, on flight KE703 from Seoul Incheon to Tokyo Narita.
The 787-10 is then scheduled to operate the KE703/KE704 rotation daily until the end of August 2024 with the exception of July 26, 2024, when it will be operated by a 777, as follows:
- KE703 / Seoul Incheon – Tokyo Narita / 10:10AM – 12:40PM
- KE704 / Tokyo Narita – Seoul Incheon / 2:00PM – 4:30PM
Korean Air 787-10s will be equipped with 325 seats including 36 in business and 289 in economy class. In business class, they will be the first aircraft type in Korean Air’s fleet to feature the airline’s new business class seat, which is later also expected to be installed on its 777-300ERs.
The new business class seats will be in a 1-2-1 staggered configuration and will feature doors.
The airline has 20 787-10s on order. The longest 787 variant will join over a dozen of the shorter 787-9s, which the airline operates in two different configurations (with 269 and 278 seats), both of which are equipped with the airline’s original ‘Prestige Suite,’ i.e., the Apex Suite.
