Osaka Kansai Airport Terminal 1’s passenger service facility charge (PSFC) will increase for tickets booked on April 1, 2025, and later, the airport’s operator Kansai Airports announced on December 20, 2024.
“The revision is due to the upcoming grand opening of Kansai International Airport’s Terminal 1 building, which is currently undergoing renovation, in spring 2025, as well as the recent rise in energy prices, labor costs, and other prices,” said the statement.
The PSFC for domestic flights, applicable to both departing and arriving passengers, will be increased from the current 440 yen per passenger aged 12 and over to 560 yen. It will be increased from 220 yen to 280 yen per passenger aged three to 12.
For international flights, the PSFC will be increased from 2,780 yen per departing passenger aged 12 and over to 3,310 yen and from 1,390 yen per departing passenger aged two to 12 to 1,660 yen. Transiting international passengers aged 12 and over will pay 660 yen instead of 560 yen and transiting passengers aged two to 12 will pay 330 yen instead of 280 yen.
Lap infants are exempt from paying the charge.
