JAL Sakura Lounge at Sendai Airport to close for renovation in late July 2024

JAL Sakura Lounge
JAL is the lower-tier of the two types of domestic lounges operated by JAL.

Earlier this week, JAL announced that its Sakura Lounge at Sendai Airport will be closed on July 23 and 24, 2024, due to partial renovation. The airline has not specified what changes it will be making in the lounge.

During the two-day period, passengers otherwise eligible to use the lounge will be able to request meal coupons at the airport’s check in counters.

Sendai is one of a dozen airports around Japan that have a domestic JAL Sakura Lounge. The lounges can be accessed by passengers departing on domestic JAL flights and flying in first class or connecting to a first class domestic or first or business class international JAL flight.
