In addition to inviting passengers to use its lounges for free based on their class of travel and frequent flyer status, JAL also offers its otherwise ineligible passengers the option of purchasing access to its lounges. From October 1, 2024, it will increase international JAL Sakura Lounge access prices by between 66.7% and 88%.
Access to international JAL Sakura Lounges at Japanese airports (Tokyo Haneda, Tokyo Narita, and Osaka Kansai) will increase by 66.7% from 4,950 yen to 8,250 yen when purchased in Japan and by similar percentage in other currencies when purchased outside Japan.
Lounges outside Japan will see an even higher increase:
- Honolulu: 4,000 yen to 7,500 yen (+87.5%)
- Frankfurt: 4,760 yen to 8,330 yen (+75.0%)
- Bangkok: 3,750 yen to 6,420 yen (+71.2%)
- Manila: 3,500 yen to 6,000 yen (+71.4%)
JAL also allows its otherwise ineligible domestic passengers to purchase JAL Sakura Lounge access for 3,000 yen. The service is available at Tokyo Haneda, Tokyo Narita, Osaka Itami, Sapporo New Chitose, and Fukuoka airports.
