JAL to increase Tokyo Haneda – Helsinki frequency from March 2024 end

Currently, JAL operates three weekly rotations between Tokyo Haneda and Helsinki. The airline will start operating two additional weekly rotations for a total of five starting from March 31, 2024.

With that, the route will operate with the following schedule starting with the 2024 summer schedule:

  • JL47 / Tokyo Haneda – Helsinki / 8:25AM – 3:40PM / Tue, Thu*, Fri, Sat*, Sun
  • JL48 / Helsinki – Tokyo Haneda / 5:40PM – 1:55PM+1 / Tue, Thu*, Fri, Sat*, Sun

* Frequencies to be added from March 31, 2024.

The flights will continue to be operated using Boeing 787-9 aircraft in the “E71” configuration with a total of 195 seats including 44 Apex Suites business class seats, 35 premium economy seats, and 116 economy class seats. In economy class, the seats are in the generous 2-4-2 layout rather than the more common 3-3-3 layout.

In addition to JAL, Finnair offers daily flights from Helsinki to Haneda and five weekly to Narita. The airline uses its A350-900s on both of the Tokyo routes.
