In April 2024, Dallas Forth Worth became the second destination after New York JFK to be operated by JAL’s A350-1000s. Currently, the new flagship operates the Tokyo Haneda – Dallas route every other day. However, from August 15, 2024, the A350-1000 will operate the route daily.
With that, starting from August 15, 2024, JAL will deploy the A350-1000 on:
- Every day on both daily Tokyo Haneda – New York JFK rotations (JL6/JL5 and JL4/JL3)
- Every day on the single daily Tokyo Haneda – Dallas Forth Worth rotation (JL12/JL11)
Currently, JAL has three A350-1000s in its fleet. By the end of this fiscal year (March 31, 2025), that number is expected to grow to eight. That will enable the airline to switch its Tokyo Haneda – London Heathrow flights to the type too. JAL plans to fully replace its 777-300ERs with A350-1000s before the end of 2026.
JAL A350-1000s are equipped with brand new seats in all classes and can sit 239 passengers including six in first, 54 in business, 24 in premium economy, and 155 in economy class.
