Starting from October 28, 2024, Hong Kong Airlines will increase the frequency of its Hong Kong – Sapporo New Chitose route from the current three weekly to daily.
Currently, Hong Kong Airlines serves the route on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays. Once it adds flights on the remaining four days of the week, it will serve the route as follows (with the exception of October 29, 2024, when no flight appears to be scheduled):
- HX690 / Hong Kong – Sapporo New Chitose / 8:50AM* – 2:40PM
- HX691 / Sapporo New Chitose – Hong Kong / 3:40PM – 8:50PM
* Scheduled to depart at 8:55AM on Mondays and Thursdays and 9:15AM on Saturdays.
Hong Kong Airlines will continue to operate the route using its 292-seater Airbus A330-300 aircraft with 32 staggered business class and 260 economy class seats.
In addition to Hong Kong Airlines, Cathay Pacific offers five weekly flights on the route. During the peak winter season, it plans to more than triple the frequency to three daily flights. Unlike Cathay’s, Hong Kong Airlines’ increase appears to be year-round.
