Hong Kong Airlines will add extra rotations between Hong Kong and Fukuoka starting from July 20, 2024. Depending on the period, the airline plans to operate up to 13 weekly roundtrips between the two cities. For the time being, the extra rotations have only been added during the 2024 summer schedule, with the last one operating on October 22, 2024.
In addition to the existing HX640/HX641 rotation departing Hong Kong at 10:30AM, the airline will add another rotation departing about an hour earlier. With that, the schedule once the service is expanded will look as follows:
- HX638* / Hong Kong – Fukuoka / 9:25AM – 2:00PM / Up to 6x week
- HX640 / Hong Kong – Fukuoka / 10:30AM – 3:00PM
- HX639* / Fukuoka – Hong Kong / 2:55PM – 5:40PM / Up to 6x week
- HX641 / Fukuoka – Hong Kong / 3:55PM – 6:35PM
* New frequency starting on July 20, 2024. The number of weekly flights depends on the period.
Hong Kong Airlines will use Airbus A330-300 aircraft, which it operates in two different configurations (292 total seats including 32 in business and 260 in economy class or 285 total seats including 30 in business and 255 in economy class) on both rotations.
In addition to Hong Kong Airlines, Cathay Pacific Airways and HK Express also serve the route.
