At around 2:10PM on January 28, 2024, a HondaJet registered JA924H skidded off the runway at Oita Airport after landing. The three crew members onboard the training flight were not injured in the accident. Oita Airport’s runway remains closed. JAL flight 665 from Tokyo Haneda was the last aircraft to land at and ANA flight 796 to Tokyo Haneda was the last flight to take-off from Oita Airport before the accident. Peach flight 363 from Tokyo Narita diverted to Osaka Kansai.
