Initially, the baggage interline agreement will be extremely limited in scope.

On June 25, 2024, Fuji Dream Airlines and Skymark Airlines announced that they will sign a baggage interline agreement on July 1, 2024.

The agreement, which will come into effect on September 1, 2024, will allow passengers traveling on select itineraries to through-check their bags when transferring from flight operated by one of the two to a flight operated by the other.

While the two companies said in their joint statement that they gradually plan to roll out baggage interlining to all routes and passengers, for the time being, the scope of the agreement will be extremely limited.

Only passengers traveling from Matsumoto to Naha via Kobe on September 1, 24, 29, and October 6, 7, and 22, 2024, as part of Hankyu Travel’s four-day tour to Okinawa on the flights below will be eligible:

  • JH233 / Matsumoto – Kobe / 10:20AM – 11:25AM
  • BC595 / Kobe – Naha / 2:00PM – 4:05PM
  • BC594 / Naha – Kobe / 11:25AM – 1:25PM
  • JH236 / Kobe – Matsumoto / 4:45PM – 5:45PM

Both of the companies are affiliated by Suzuyo Holdings, a Shizuoka-based logistics company. While Fuji Dream Airlines is the Suzuyo’s wholly-owned subsidiary, an investment fund associated with the company is Skymark Airlines’ largest shareholder.
