Parts of Fuji Dream Airlines’ first retired aircraft will be put on display in Nagano Prefecture.

Fuji Dream Airlines will donate the forward fuselage and one of the winglets of its first retired aircraft to Nagano Prefecture, the airline announced on July 26, 2024, at a ceremony celebrating Matsumoto Airport’s 30 years of jet aircraft operations.

While the location and timing is unclear at this point, the prefecture plans to display the parts so that they can be viewed by the public.

The parts will be from JA04FJ, the fourth but oldest aircraft in Fuji Dream Airlines’ fleet. It was manufactured in 2006 and originally delivered to Shuttle America as N866RW before joining Fuji Dream in 2010. In July 2011, it was declared tourism ambassador by Matsumoto City due to “the aircraft’s green color evoking the mountains of Shinshu.”

Fuji Dream Airlines has withdrawn the aircraft from use in March 2024. It operated its last flight on March 9, 2024, and became the first aircraft the airline retired.

Matsumoto Airport has Fuji Dream Airlines flights to Fukuoka, Kobe, and Sapporo New Chitose, and the airline is the only year-round scheduled flight operator at the airport.
