Fuji Dream Airlines sold the naming rights for one of its aircraft to the British sports streaming platform DAZN, the streaming service provided, which named the aircraft the ‘DAZN Airplane,’ announced on July 26, 2024.
As part of the one-year contract, DAZN decals were applied to the ‘DAZN Airplane,’ an Embraer E175 registered JA12FJ wearing the airline’s white livery. Additionally, passengers flying on the aircraft will be able to enjoy campaigns including the distribution of codes allowing free watching of content on the platform.
The aircraft will be used across Fuji Dream Airlines’ network.
“Until now, FDA sold naming rights for seven of the 15 aircraft it owns, making this the eight. I am confident this will further increase the public’s attention to FDA, as half of aircraft owned by FDA will now have unique names,” said Shunichi Kusunose, the airline’s President and COO, at the naming ceremony.
On the same day, Fuji Dream Airlines hinted on social media it will decorate another one of its aircraft with Shimanekko, Shimane Prefecture’s mascot, in mid-August 2024.
