On February 21, 2024, Fuji Dream Airlines announced it acquired a new GPU (ground power unit) from the Japanese manufacturer AGP. The “Be power.GPU” unit is the first domestically manufactured battery-powered aircraft GPU.

The unit’s purchase was subsidized using the Ministry of Environment’s FY2022 “decarbonization promotion project” subsidy.

According to the press release, Fuji Dream Airlines planned to put the unit into service at its main hub, Nagoya Komaki Airport, on February 26, 2024.
