Etihad Airways to increase Abu Dhabi – Osaka Kansai from early August 2025

Etihad Airways serves Osaka using two-class Boeing 787-9s.

Starting from August 4, 2025, Etihad Airways will increase the frequency of its flights between Abu Dhabi and Osaka Kansai from the current five weekly to six. The airline will add flights departing Abu Dhabi on Fridays, operating the route as follows:

  • EY814 / Abu Dhabi – Osaka Kansai / 9:25PM – 11:55AM+1 / Mon, Tue, Thu, Fri1, Sat, Sun
  • EY815 / Osaka Kansai – Abu Dhabi / 5:40PM – 11:55PM / Mon, Tue, Wed, Fri, Sat1, Sun

1 Rotation scheduled to operate from August 4, 2024.

Etihad Airways will continue to use Boeing 787-9 aircraft on the route. While it operates the type in three different configurations, it will use the two-class version with 290 seats in total including 28 in business and 262 in economy class.

Separately from Etihad Airways, both Emirates and Qatar Airways offer daily flights from their respective hubs in Dubai and Doha to Osaka Kansai.

Etihad Airways’ only other destination in Japan is Tokyo Narita, which it serves daily.
