Starting in July 2024, South Korean low-cost airline Eastar Jet will operate flights between Seoul Incheon and Sapporo New Chitose for three months.
The flights will operate daily from July 1 until September 30, 2024, as follows:
- ZE621 / Seoul Incheon – Sapporo New Chitose / 7:40AM – 10:20AM
- ZE622 / Sapporo New Chitose – Seoul Incheon / 11:20AM -2:10PM
Eastar Jet will use its Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft, each equipped with 189 seats, on the route.
In the past, Eastar Jet used to connect Sapporo New Chitose not only with Seoul but also with Busan and Cheongju. The latter two routes were suspended in late 2019. The Seoul – Sapporo route saw a frequency reduction around the same time too before being completely suspended at a later point. While previously Eastar Jet served over half a dozen Japanese airports, currently it only flies to Tokyo Narita, Osaka Kansai, and Fukuoka.
The Sapporo New Chitose – Seoul Incheon route is currently served by six carriers including Korean Air (10x week), Asiana Airlines (daily), Air Busan (daily), Jeju Air (daily), Jin Air (daily), and T’Way (daily).
