China Southern Airlines will resume flights between Shenyang and Nagoya Chubu on September 21, 2024. From then on, the flights will operate three times a week as follows:
- CZ697 / Shenyang – Nagoya Chubu / 8:10AM – 12:10PM / Tue, Thu, Sat
- CZ698 / Nagoya Chubu – Shenyang / 1:10PM – 3:15PM / Tue, Thu, Sat
The airline will operate the route using Airbus A320-200 aircraft equipped with 152 seats including eight in business and 144 in economy class.
China Southern Airlines last operated the route approximately four and a half years ago, on January 31, 2020, before suspending it due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Once the route resumes, it will be the only airline to offer non-stop flights between the two cities.
Currently, China Southern Airlines offers daily flights between Shenyang and Tokyo Narita and three weekly flights between Shenyang and Osaka Kansai. The latter route is also served by Spring Airlines three times a week.
Shenyang will be the second city from which China Southern Airlines will serve Nagoya. The airline already offers four weekly Dalian – Chubu flights (increased from two weekly in June 2024).
