During the 2024 summer schedule, China Southern Airlines plans to increase frequencies on four out of its six routes to Osaka Kansai Airport.
The route from the airline’s base, Guangzhou has tickets on sale for new frequencies starting at the beginning of April 2024.
From the beginning of April 2024, China Southern will increase the frequency of the currently operated CZ389/CZ390 rotation from six weekly to daily. It will also add another rotation, CZ393/CZ394, on two days each week until mid-August 2024 for the time being. With that, from April 1, 2024, the airline will operate with the following schedule on the route:
- CZ389 / Guangzhou – Osaka Kansai / 8:15AM – 1:00PM
- CZ393 / Guangzhou – Osaka Kansai / 9:10AM – 1:55PM / Thu, Sat
- CZ390 / Osaka Kansai – Guangzhou / 2:05PM – 5:15PM
- CZ394 / Osaka Kansai – Guangzhou / 3:55PM – 7:15PM / Thu, Sat
The earlier rotation will operate using Airbus A321neo aircraft and the new rotation will use the A320.
While the new frequencies on the above route are already bookable, the expected new frequencies on the three other routes to/from Osaka Kansai – Beijing Daxing, Shenyang, and Harbin – are not bookable yet.
It is expected that the Beijing flights will operate daily from April 27, 2024, up from the current four weekly rotations. Flights from both Shenyang and Harbin are expected to increase by one weekly rotation, from three to four and two to three flights a week respectively.
China Southern will also continue to offer daily flights to Osaka Kansai from Shanghai Pudong and three weekly flights from Dalian.
