Unlike the existing flights to Tokyo Haneda which are served using widebodies, Guangzhou – Narita will be served using the narrowbody A320.

On March 31, 2024, China Southern Airlines will resume flights between its base, Guangzhou, and Tokyo Narita. The new flights will operate in addition to the airline’s existing flights to Haneda Airport.

The Guangzhou – Tokyo Narita route will operate daily with the following schedule:

  • CZ8101 / Guangzhou – Tokyo Narita / 8:25AM – 1:20PM
  • CZ8102 / Tokyo Narita – Guangzhou / 2:20PM – 6:05PM

China Southern will use its Airbus A320-200s with 166 seats including four in business class and 162 in economy class (including 24 with extra legroom) on the flights.

The airline also offers two daily Guangzhou – Tokyo Haneda flights, one operated by the 787 and one by the A330. With that, starting on March 31, 2024, China Southern will offer three daily flights between the two cities with a total of over 650 daily seats each way. China Southern will be the only airline flying to Guangzhou from Narita. That said, ANA and JAL each offer a daily flight from Tokyo Haneda.

China Southern will also continue to serve Changchun, Dalian, Harbin, Shanghai Pudong, and Shenyang out of Narita and Beijing Daxing out of Haneda.
