China Express Airlines to launch Chonqing – Osaka in March 2024

On February 26, 2024, AeroRoutes reported China Express Airlines is planning to launch flights between Chongqing and Osaka Kansai on March 31, 2024.

The flights will operate four times a week with the following schedule:

  • G54731 / Chongqing – Osaka Kansai / 02:30 PM – 06:20 PM / Mon, Wed, Fri, Sun
  • G54732 / Osaka Kansai – Chongqing / 08:00 PM – 12:00 AM / Mon, Wed, Fri*, Sun

* Flight scheduled to arrive at 12:20AM on Fridays.

China Express will use Airbus A320-200 aircraft equipped with 172 seats including four in business and 168 in economy class on the route.

The new route will be China Express’s first route to Japan and only the airline’s second route outside Greater China, with the first one being its four weekly service between Chongqing and Bangkok.

China Express Airlines will be the second airline to operate the Osaka Kansai – Chongqing route. Currently, China Southern Airlines serves it twice a week.
