Cathay Pacific will add three extra weekly flights on its Hong Kong – Nagoya Chubu route from October 28, 2024. Combined with the existing two daily rotations (including a daily rotation via Taipei), the airline will offer 17 roundtrips per week between the two cities.
The new flights, CX532/CX533, will depart Hong Kong late afternoon and Nagoya in the morning (it will be the first time for Cathay Pacific to offer a morning flight out of Chubu in about four years and eight months).
After the increase, the non-stop flights on the route will operate as follows until the end of 2024 (the schedule for 2025 is yet to be announced):
- CX536 / Hong Kong – Nagoya Chubu / 9:35AM – 2:15PM
- CX532* / Hong Kong – Nagoya Chubu / 4:25PM – 8:55PM / Wed, Sat, Sun
- CX533* / Nagoya Chubu – Hong Kong / 9:40AM – 1:30PM / Mon, Thu, Sun
- CX539 / Nagoya Chubu – Hong Kong / 3:20PM – 7:10PM
* Flights to be added from October 28, 2024.
Additionally, the daily flight from Hong Kong to Chubu via Taipei will continue to operate as follows:
- CX530 / Hong Kong – Taipei Taoyuan / 9:00AM – 11:00AM
- CX530 / Taipei Taoyuan – Nagoya Chubu / 12:00PM – 3:35PM
- CX531 / Nagoya Chubu – Taipei Taoyuan / 4:40PM – 7:15PM
- CX531 / Taipei Taoyuan – Hong Kong / 8:10PM – 10:05PM
During the winter schedule, both of the daily Cathay Pacific flights to Nagoya Chubu are scheduled to be operated by Airbus A330-300 aircraft. The new rotation will, however, be operated by the considerably smaller Airbus A321neo with 202 seats including 12 in business and 190 in economy class.
In addition to Cathay Pacific, Hong Kong Airlines and HK Express connect Nagoya Chubu with Hong Kong too.
