Batik Air Malaysia, formerly operating as Malindo, will operate several charter flights between Tokyo Narita and Koror, Palau, on behalf of tour operators. Multiple flights are scheduled in March 2024 and during the 2024 Golden Week holiday period in April and May.
AeroRoutes reported the flights will operate on the 15th, 19th, 23rd, and 27th of March 2024 in the direction from Tokyo Narita to Koror and on the 18th, 22nd, and 26th in the other direction with the following schedule:
- OD8875 / Tokyo Narita – Koror / 10:00AM – 2:55PM
- OD8876 / Koror – Tokyo Narita / 4:25AM – 9:00AM
As per Niceday Tour and other tour companies, there will be seven five-day tours from Tokyo to Palau using Batik Air Malaysia charter flights. The return schedules appear off by one day, likely because the tour operators have not adjusted the schedules to the latest flight schedules yet.
The tour dates are as follows, with the first few using the flights reported by AeroRoutes and the remaining ones most likely using the same flights extended into the 2024 summer schedule:
- March 15 to 19, 2024
- March 19 to 23, 2024
- March 23 to 27, 2024
- March 27 to 31, 2024
- April 24 to 28, 2024
- April 28 to May 2, 2024
- May 2 to 6, 2024
Batik Air Malaysia will use its Boeing 737-800s equipped with 162 seats including 12 in business class on the charters.
Until May 2018 Delta Air Lines used to operate two weekly flights between Tokyo Narita and Koror. Currently, however, there are no scheduled non-stop flights connecting the two cities.
