ANA to reduce Tokyo Narita – Honolulu service from mid-January 2025

ANA A380 JA381A
ANA bought three A380s exclusively for use on its Narita – Honolulu flights.

ANA will reduce the number of flights it operates between Tokyo Narita and Honolulu from two daily to 10 weekly roundtrips from January 11, 2025. It will continue to operate a daily rotation out of Tokyo Haneda in addition to the flights from Narita.

Once ANA reduces the frequency of its NH182/NH181 rotation from daily to three weekly, it will offer the following flights between Tokyo and Hawaii’s capital:

  • NH186 / Tokyo Haneda – Honolulu / 9:55PM – 9:45AM
  • NH184 / Tokyo Narita – Honolulu / 8:35PM – 8:25AM
  • NH182 / Tokyo Narita – Honolulu / 9:30PM – 9:20AM / Tue, Fri, Sun*
  • NH183 / Honolulu – Tokyo Narita / 11:30AM – 3:55PM+1
  • NH181 / Honolulu – Tokyo Narita / 12:30PM – 4:55PM+1 / Tue, Fri, Sun*
  • NH185 / Honolulu – Tokyo Haneda / 1:15PM – 5:40PM+1

* Between March 18 and 23, 2025, the flights will operate on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays instead.

ANA will continue to operate both of the Narita rotations using Airbus A380 aircraft equipped with 520 seats including eight in first, 56 in business, 73 in premium economy, and 383 in economy class. The Haneda rotation will continue to be operated using Boeing 787-9s with 246 seats including 40 in business, 14 in premium economy, and 192 in economy class.

The service reduction to the popular holiday destination comes as the weak Japanese yen is making it more difficult for those based in Japan to travel outside the country.

In addition to ANA, Hawaiian Airlines and JAL also operate flights between both Haneda and Narita and Honolulu. Delta Air Lines connects Honolulu with Haneda.
