ANA will become one of the first airlines to use New York JFK’s currently under construction Terminal 6, which is set to open in 2026, announced the upcoming terminal’s operator JFK Millennium Partners and the airline.

“Terminal 6 is a key component of the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey’s $19 billion transformation of JFK International Airport,” said the statement. The new terminal will be equipped with 10 gates, with the first six opening in 2026 and the remaining four in 2028. It will be directly connected to Terminal 5 used by JetBlue, one of the members of the JFK Millennium Partners consortium alongside Vantage Group, American Triple I, and RXR.

Currently, ANA’s two daily flights to the airport, both from Tokyo Haneda, use Terminal 7.

According to the statement, “ANA joins its fellow Star Alliance partners Lufthansa, SWISS, Austrian Airlines and Brussels Airlines as future JFK Terminal 6 airlines.”
