ANA Holdings’ Nippon Cargo Airlines acquisiton now expected to finalize in July 2024

ANA Holdings is in the process of acquiring Nippon Cargo Airlines from Nippon Yusen.

The acquisition agreed to in March 2023 was first expected to finalize in October 2023. That was then postponed to the beginning of February 2024 and April 2024 due to delays with getting the necessary government approvals. Now, the finalization has been delayed further, to July 1, 2024.

The Tokyo Narita Airport-based Nippon Cargo Airlines currently operates eight Boeing 747-8 freighters on routes within Asia and to Europe and the United States. ANA Cargo currently operates nine 767-300 and two 777 freighters. The airline also has a pair of 777-8 freighters on order.
