On December 20, 2024, ANA Holdings acquired 7% of Peach Aviation from First Eastern Aviation Holdings, making the company its wholly-owned subsidiary.
“As we anticipate further increase of inbound tourists, the decision to make Peach a wholly owned subsidiary is designed to build on previous growth, strengthen the ANA Group’s business portfolio and increase profits. ANAHD will continue to actively develop demand to increase inbound tourists, with the goal of attracting 60 million visitors and encouraging regional revitalization,” said ANA’s statement.
Peach Aviation was established in February 2011 as A&F Aviation before changing its name in May of the same year. It was originally founded as a joint venture between ANA and the Hong Kong-based First Eastern Aviation Holdings. Later, the company was joined by Innovation Network Corporation of Japan, with each of the three partners holding an approximately 33% share of the low-cost airline.
Peach became a consolidated subsidiary of ANA in 2017 and in 2019 it merged with Vanilla Air, another low-cost airline owned by ANA.
