ANA to move more international departures from Haneda’s Terminal 3 to Terminal 2

Haneda Airport Terminal 2 International
The international part of Haneda’s Terminal 2 is exclusively used by ANA.

Starting on March 31, 2024, ANA will move 10 additional international flight departures from Tokyo Haneda Airport’s Terminal 3 (former International Terminal) to Terminal 2. ANA’s flight to Vienna, which will resume on August 1, 2024, will use Terminal 2 as well.

To expand international capacity, an extension of Terminal 2, which was previously used solely by domestic flights operated by ANA, Air Do, and Solaseed Air, was opened on March 29, 2020. That said, with the pandemic and related restrictions bringing international travel to and from Japan to a halt, the international part of Terminal 2 was closed down less than two weeks later, on April 11, 2020.

International flights from Terminal 2 were resumed on July 19, 2023, but were initially limited to just a handful of daily departures. That was later expanded, and now ANA announced it will be increasing the number of international flights departing from the terminal to 26, or over half of the 43 international flights the airline operates out of Haneda.

Most notably, ANA will move both daily flights to New York and all flights to Seoul Gimpo from Terminal 3 to Terminal 2. With that, from March 31, 2024, the following flights will depart from Terminal 2:

  • 12:05AM / NH849 / Bangkok*
  • 12:40AM / NH843 / Singapore
  • 8:35AM / NH889 / Sydney
  • 8:40AM / NH861 / Seoul Gimpo*
  • 8:50AM / NH859 / Hong Kong
  • 9:10AM / NH923 / Guangzhou*
  • 9:35AM / NH215 / Paris
  • 9:40AM / NH851 / Taipei Songshan
  • 9:40AM / NH223 / Frankfurt
  • 9:55AM / NH211 / London
  • 10:05AM / NH969 / Shanghai Hongqiao
  • 10:20AM / NH855 / Jakarta*
  • 10:50AM / NH847 / Bangkok*
  • 10:55AM / NH841 / Singapore
  • 11:00AM / NH110 / New York*
  • 11:10AM / NH965 / Shenzhen

  • 10:45PM / NH879 / Sydney
  • 10:45PM / NH205 / Vienna (resumes on August 1, 2024)
  • 10:55PM / NH217 / Munich

* Flights that will newly move to Terminal 2 on March 31, 2024

ANA flights to Beijing, Chicago, Delhi, Ho Chi Minh, Houston, Kuala Lumpur, Los Angeles, Los Angeles, Manila, Qingdao, San Francisco, Seattle, Shanghai Pudong, Vancouver, and Washington D.C. will continue to use Terminal 3 during the 2024 summer schedule.

The arrival terminal for all of the flights will continue to vary and be tentatively published on ANA’s website 24 hours before each flight’s scheduled departure time. It will then be confirmed two hours before arrival.

Passengers transferring from a domestic ANA flight to an international one departing from Terminal 2 will have a considerably smoother experience than when transferring to a flight departing from Terminal 3 since the latter requires a shuttle bus ride.
