ANA to increase FY2024 new grad hires’ starting salary by up to 8.6%

ANA is in the process of increasing starting salaries for all new grad positions.

On March 12, 2024, ANA announced it will increase the starting salary of new graduates entering the company in April 2024. This will be the second consecutive year for the airline to do so, and it plans to do so again in 2025.

The monthly gross salary increase will amount to 11,000 yen (approximately 75 dollars) or 16,000 yen (approximately 105 dollars) depending on the type of job. In relative terms, it will account for an increase of between 4.4% and 8.6% depending on the type of job and the employee’s education level.

With the increase, starting salaries for all new grad positions will be above 200,000 yen (approximately 1,350 dollars) for the first time.

From April 2024, the starting salary at ANA will be as follows:

  • “Global Staff” career path
    • Graduate degree: 262,077 yen (11,000 yen or 4.4% increase from the current 251,077 yen)
    • Undergraduate degree: 249,557 yen (11,000 yen or 4.6% increase from the current 237,557 yen)
  • Cabin crew (including a 30,000 yen allowance)
    • Graduate degree: 213,521 yen (16,000 yen or 8.1% increase from the current 197,521 yen)
    • Undergraduate degree: 210,221 yen (16,000 yen or 8.2% increase from the current 194,221 yen)
    • Associate degree, etc.: 202,319 yen (16,000 yen or 8.6% increase from the current 186,319 yen)
  • Cockpit crew
    • Graduate degree: 253,004 yen (11,000 yen or 4.5% increase from the current 242,004 yen)
    • Undergraduate degree: 244,346 yen (11,000 yen or 4.7% increase from the current 233,346 yen)
  • “Expert staff” career path
    • Graduate degree: 228,092 yen (11,000 yen or 5.1% increase from the current 217,092 yen)
    • Undergraduate degree: 222,312 yen (11,000 yen or 5.2% increase from the current 211,312 yen)
    • Associate degree: 208,632 yen (11,000 yen or 5.6% increase from the current 197,632 yen)
