ANA partnered with Expo 2025 Osaka to add a logojet promoting the event that will be held in the Japanese city from mid-April until mid-October next year to its fleet, the airline announced on September 12, 2024.

The “EXPO2025 ANA JET” livery will be worn by an ANA Wings-operated Boeing 737-800 registered JA58AN and will enter into service in early December 2024. It has not been announced when the aircraft will be returned back to ANA’s regular livery. Similarly, the inaugural date and route have not been announced yet. That said, the aircraft will be used exclusively on domestic flights around Japan.

According to ANA, the livery is a design that “combines Expo colors (red, blue, and gray) with ANA corporate colors (Mohican Blue and Triton Blue) in a sleek shape, evoking the image of riding the wind and taking off into the future.”

In addition to wearing an Expo-themed livery, like with other ANA logojets, the service on board the aircraft will be themed as well. The details are yet to be announced.

The other major Japanese airline, JAL, also partnered with Expo 2025 Osaka to introduce logojets to its fleet. In November 2023, its subsidiary J-Air introduced “JAL Myaku Myaku JET,” an E190 wearing a livery featuring the Expo’s mascot, to its fleet. In June 2024, one of JAL’s 787-8s used on international flights was decorated with a similar livery.
