Following the recent announcement of its Demon Slayer Jet Two end-of-service plans, ANA also revealed Demon Slayer Jet Three will not be sporting the special livery for much longer. The 777-200ER is scheduled to operate its last scheduled flight in the special livery on April 7, 2024.
Like with the 767, which will operate its last flight as a Demon Slayer Jet later this month, the 777 wearing the Demon Slayer Jet Three livery will operate a fixed schedule before retiring. During the last currently scheduled eight days of its service, between March 31 and April 7, 2024, the aircraft will operate the following flights each day:
- NH241 / Tokyo Haneda – Fukuoka / 7:35AM – 9:30AM
- NH246 / Fukuoka – Tokyo Haneda / 10:20AM – 12:00PM
- NH25 / Tokyo Haneda – Osaka Itami / 1:00PM – 2:05PM
- NH30 / Osaka Itami – Tokyo Haneda / 3:00PM – 4:15PM
- NH73 / Tokyo Haneda – Sapporo New Chitose / 5:00PM – 6:35PM
- NH78 / Sapporo New Chitose – Tokyo Haneda / 7:30PM – 9:05PM
April 9, 2024, is the livery’s official retirement date. As such, the aircraft might also operate scheduled flights on April 8 and 9, 2024.
The Demon Slayer Jet Three livery first entered into scheduled service on the Boeing 777-200ER registered JA745A on October 3, 2022, on flight NH241 from Tokyo Haneda to Fukuoka. A day before that, it operated a sightseeing flight out of Narita.
The aircraft is decorated with illustrations made by ufotable specially for the aircraft. On the port side, Demon Slayer’s main character Tanjiro Kamado and the Sound Pillar Tengen Uzui can be found. On the starboard side, Tanjiro Kamado is joined by the Flame Pillar Kyojuro Rengoku. Unlike the first two Demon Slayer Jets, the third Demon Slayer Jet’s tail is white. The Demon Slayer logo is featured on the aircraft’s engines.
In addition to the special livery, service onboard the Demon Slayer Jets is special too. Drinks are served in thematic cups, cabin crew wears Demon Slayer aprons, and onboard announcements include messages from the anime’s characters.
Once the Demon Slayer Jet Three is repainted back into the regular ANA livery, only three Dash 8s registered JA844A, JA846A, and JA850A sporting small Demon Slayer decals will remain in service.
