ANA Cargo operates two 777 in addition to a larger fleet of 767s.

On March 15, 2024, ANA, Kumamoto Prefecture, and Kumamoto Airport announced that ANA will operate a one-time Boeing 777F charter flight from Tokyo Narita to Kumamoto on March 29, 2024.

The flight will operate as follows:

  • NH9197 / Tokyo Narita – Kumamoto / 4:50PM – 7:10PM
  • NH9198 / Kumamoto – Tokyo Narita / 8:40PM – 10:20PM

It will be part of the “New Large Airport Plan” formulated by Kumamoto Prefecture in October 2023, which aims to grow its operations.

With the chip industry growing in Kumamoto, ANA expects demand for cargo transportation at the city’s airport to grow. As such, it added NACCS (Nippon Automated Cargo and Port Consolidated System), a system used for electronic customs processing, to its Kumamoto Airport operations in the same month Kumamoto Prefecture’s plan was created.

The charter flight will be done in anticipation of the airline starting scheduled cargo operations at Kumamoto Airport in the future.
