On February 12, 2024, AirJapan announced that it suspended its in-flight wi-fi for the time being. No specific reason for the suspension or a timeframe for its resumption were given.

At the same time the airline also announced that it is not currently accepting JCB credit cards for in-flight sales service payments. VISA, Mastercards, and American Express are accepted.

Prior to suspending the wi-fi service, AirJapan offered (and will likely offer after resumption) the following three packages (all with unlimited data):

  • 30 minutes: 6.95 USD
  • 3 hours: 16.95 USD
  • Full flight: 21.95 USD

AirJapan, which currently has one Boeing 787-8, operated its inaugural flight, Tokyo Narita – Bangkok, on February 9, 2024. The airline also plans to launch flights from Narita to Seoul Incheon on February 22, 2024, and Singapore on April 26, 2024.
