Alongside releasing 2024 winter schedule flights for sale on June 20, 2024, ANA’s low-cost offshoot AirJapan also announced it will revise the fare types it offers. While the airline’s cheapest “Simple” fare type will remain unchanged, passengers booking “Standard” and “Selected” tickets to and from Bangkok and Singapore will be able to enjoy relaxed rules for flights departing on October 27, 2024, or later.

The main change will be the ability to cancel and refund “Standard” and “Selected” tickets up to five hours before departure on the airline’s medium-haul flights, something the airline currently only offers on flights to and from Seoul. Refunding a “Standard” ticket to or from Bangkok or Singapore will cost 75% of the paid fare while refunding a “Selected” ticket will cost 50% of the fare.

Refund fees for flights to and from Seoul will remain at 5,000 yen/60,000 won for cancellations before departure and 15,000 yen/180,000 won for cancellations after departure respectively.

Two other changes for passengers traveling on AirJapan’s two medium-haul routes will include:

  • Advance seat selection (any seat for those with “Selected” tickets and seats costing under 5,000 yen to select for those with “Standard” tickets)
  • Free meal for those with “Selected” tickets

During the winter schedule, AirJapan plans to continue connecting Tokyo Narita with Bangkok daily and with Singapore five times a week. The airline has not released the 2024 winter schedule tickets to Seoul for sale yet.
