MLIT’s “Aircraft Collision Countermeasures Committee” holds first meeting

In the wake of the collision of a JAL A350 and a Japan Coast Guard Dash 8 at Haneda Airport, Japan’s transport ministry set up a “Haneda Airport Aircraft Collision Countermeasures Committee.” The committee met for the first time today, January 19, 2024, and going forward will discuss what measures can be implemented to prevent tragedies like the one that happened on January 2, 2024, from happening again.
