AirAsia X to extend Kuala Lumpur – Taipei service to Tokyo Narita from May 2024 end

AirAsia X currently serves Tokyo Haneda Airport non-stop from Kuala Lumpur.

AeroRoutes reported that starting on May 31, 2024, AirAsia X will operate daily flights from Kuala Lumpur to Tokyo Narita via Taipei Taoyuan. The one-stop route, which the airline previously operated until 2020, will be an extension of the airline’s existing daily rotation between Kuala Lumpur and Taipei.

The flights are expected to operate with the following schedule:

  • D7378 / Kuala Lumpur – Taipei Taoyuan / 9:30AM – 2:25PM
  • D7378 / Taipei Taoyuan – Tokyo Narita / 3:50PM – 8:20PM
  • D7379 / Tokyo Narita – Taipei Taoyuan / 9:35PM – 12:10AM+1
  • D7379* / Taipei Taoyuan – Kuala Lumpur / 1:25AM – 6:15AM

* D7379 will not operate on May 31, 2024, as the flight’s departure time will change from the current 3:40PM to 12:10AM the following day to accommodate for the route’s extension.

The flights will be operated using Airbus A330-300 aircraft equipped with 377 seats including 12 in business and 365 in economy class.

AirAsia X will also continue to operate a daily non-stop flight between Kuala Lumpur and Tokyo Haneda.
