Air France to suspend Paris – Tokyo Narita route in late October 2024

Air France 777-300ER
While Air France will terminate flights to Narita, it will continue to serve Tokyo Haneda Airport.

Air France will stop flying between Paris Charles de Gaulle and Tokyo Narita at the end of the 2024 summer schedule. The last flight to Narita will operate on October 25, 2024, while the last flight in the other direction will depart a day later.

Currently, the airline offers three to four weekly flights between the two airports using Boeing 777-300ERs as follows:

  • AF246 / Paris CDG – Tokyo Narita / 12:20PM – 9:10AM+1 / Tue, Fri, Sun
  • AF245 / Tokyo Narita – Paris CDG / 11:15AM – 7:05PM / Mon, Wed, Sat

According to AeroRoutes, Air France previously planned to continue operating three to four weekly flights through the 2024 winter schedule and into the 2025 summer schedule. AeroRoutes says that while flights from March 30, 2025, are listed in the schedules, they are not available for booking.

With that, in Tokyo, Air France will operate exclusively in and out of Haneda Airport, which it connects with Charles de Gaulle twice a day. It temporarily plans to add three extra weekly flights on the route from mid-September to mid-October.

Given that both ANA and JAL also moved their flights to Paris to Tokyo Haneda, Narita will lose non-stop flights to Paris once Air France discontinues its route.
