Air China will increase the frequency of its Shanghai Pudong – Fukuoka route to daily from November 2024. While the airline’s original announcement suggested the increase to daily would take effect on September 28, 2024, it now appears that on that date the route will be increased from the current five to six weekly.

First, the airline will add Tuesday rotations from the September date before adding the flights on the last missing day of the week, Saturdays. The route will operate as follows:

  • CA915 / Shanghai Pudong – Fukuoka / 12:10PM – 2:55PM
  • CA916 / Fukuoka – Shanghai Pudong / 3:55PM – 4:55PM

Air China will continue to use Airbus A321ceo aircraft on the route. While it operates the aircraft in multiple configurations, it will use the one with 185 seats including 12 in business and 173 in economy.

In addition to Air China, China Eastern and the low-cost airlines Spring offer flights between Fukuoka and Shanghai as well.

As for Air China, it also serves Fukuoka out of Beijing Capital via Dalian.
