Air China plans to operate the route using Boeing 737-8s.

On January 26, 2025, Air China will resume its flights between Chongqing and Tokyo Narita for the first time since suspending them in February 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. It will operate the route three times a week as follows:

  • CA433 / Chongqing – Tokyo Narita / 1:10PM – 6:30PM / Wed, Fri, Sun
  • CA434 / Tokyo Narita – Chongqing / 7:30PM – 12:15AM+1 / Wed, Fri, Sun

Air China plans to use Boeing 737-8 with 176 seats including eight in business and 168 in economy class on the route.

It will be the only airline to offer non-stop flights between the two cities.

Chongqing will be the fifth city from which Air China will serve Tokyo. The airline also offers flights to both Haneda and Narita from Beijing Capital and to Narita from Dalian, Hangzhou, and Shanghai Pudong. In March 2025, it plans to resume Chengdu – Narita.
