From October 27, 2024, Air Canada reduced the frequency of its Montreal – Tokyo Narita route from daily to four weekly flights. The scaled down service, operated as follows, will continue until March 30, 2024:

  • AC5 / Montreal Trudeau – Tokyo Narita / 12:30PM – 4:30PM+1 / Tue, Wed, Fri, Sun
  • AC6 / Tokyo Narita – Montreal Trudeau / 6:45PM – 5:05PM / Mon, Tue, Thu, Sat

Air Canada operates the route using the denser of its two Boeing 777-300ER configurations. With that, it offers 450 seats on each flight including 28 in business, 24 in premium economy, and 398 in economy class.

Separately from Montreal, Air Canada also connects Toronto with both Tokyo Narita and Haneda and Vancouver with Narita. For the duration of the winter schedule, it reduced the Toronto – Narita route from daily to three weekly.

No other airline flies non-stop between Tokyo and Montreal.
