From July 10, 2024, five of Aeromexico’s seven weekly flights from Mexico City to Tokyo will operate via Monterrey. The return flights from Tokyo to Mexico City will continue to operate non-stop.
The one-stop flights will operate as follows:
- AM1058* / Mexico City – Monterrey / 10:40PM – 12:30AM+1 / Wed, Thu, Fri, Sat, Sun
- AM1058** / Monterrey – Tokyo Narita / 2:00AM – 6:20AM+1 / Mon, Thu, Fri, Sat, Sun

The non-stop flights in the direction to Tokyo operate the remaining two days of the week as follows:
- AM58 / Mexico City – Tokyo Narita / 12:40AM – 6:20AM+1 / Tue, Wed
Lastly, the flights from Japan to Mexico will operate daily as follows:
- AM57 / Tokyo Narita – Mexico City / 9:35AM – 7:25AM
The two non-stop rotations will continue to be operated by Boeing 787-8 aircraft with 243 seats including 32 in business class and 211 in economy class. The five rotations involving a stop in Monterrey will be upgauged to the Boeing 787-9 with 274 seats including 36 in business and 238 in economy class.
SkyTeam’s Aeromexico is one of two airlines connecting Tokyo Narita and Mexico City (and Japan and Mexico in general). Star Alliance’s ANA offers daily non-stop flights between the two cities using Boeing 787-8s.
