JAL will operate two of its six daily roundtrips between Tokyo Haneda and Aomori from today, July 6, 2024, until the end of the summer schedule (October 26, 2024), using Boeing 767-300ERs instead of 737-800s. By doing so, it will offer 35,380 (+42%) extra seats on the route compared to the same period last year.
The upgauged flights include the first morning flight out of Haneda (and the second flight of the day out of Aomori) and the last flight of the day out of Aomori (which is operated by the same aircraft as the second last flight from Tokyo in the other direction):
- JL141 / Tokyo Haneda – Aomori / 6:45AM – 8:00AM
- JL149 / Tokyo Haneda – Aomori / 6:40PM – 7:55PM
- JL142 / Aomori – Tokyo Haneda / 8:40AM – 10:00AM
- JL150 / Aomori – Tokyo Haneda / 8:40PM – 10:00PM
The two-class 767-300ERs JAL will use on the flights are equipped with 261 seats including 42 in Class J and 219 in economy class. That is 96 seats more than the 165-seater 737-800s with 20 Class J and 145 economy class seats normally used on the flights and used on the other roundtrips.
